Oman Introduces New Fees for Citizenship and Nationality Applications

Oman has announced a new schedule of fees for citizenship applications and nationality-related requests, as published in the Sultanate’s Official Gazette. Under the revised structure, applications to obtain Omani citizenship will now cost OMR 600, applying to foreign women married to Omani nationals, widows or divorced spouses of Omanis, and the minor children of Omani women.
The updated regulations also introduce a OMR 200 fee for applications related to the withdrawal or relinquishment of Omani nationality, formalising charges for both acquiring and renouncing citizenship. The changes reflect Oman’s efforts to streamline and standardise nationality procedures, ensuring clarity and consistency for applicants.
