Bahrain and Sweden Unite to Strengthen International Cricket Relations With Landmark MOU!

The Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) has proudly taken a massive step forward in international sports diplomacy by signing a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Swedish Cricket Federation. This strategic partnership was officially forged to strengthen international cricket relations following the ICC Annual General Meeting held in Edinburgh.

The collaboration traces back to a visit to Stockholm, where Mr. Mohammad Mansoor, Chairman of the Advisory Board at BCF, met with Mr. Tariq Zuwak, President of the Swedish Cricket Federation. Together, they held detailed discussions focused on shaping the future of cricket in both nations. This partnership is designed to foster bilateral international matches, facilitate player, coach, umpire, and administrator exchanges, and encourage deep collaboration across grassroots, women’s, youth, and high-performance cricket. Additionally, both boards will share vital expertise in cricket infrastructure and development.

This milestone arrives as Bahrain cricket continues its remarkable expansion under the visionary leadership of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. With the achievement of ICC List A Playing Nation status, the establishment of Bahrain’s first indoor cricket academy, a world-class international stadium, and continuous investments in grassroots programs, this new alliance with Sweden marks yet another shining milestone in the nation's cricketing journey.

Symbolizing friendship and mutual respect, Mr. Mohammad Mansoor presented a commemorative memento to Mr. Tariq Zuwak to celebrate the commencement of this long-term partnership, proving that together, both nations are truly growing the game beyond borders
