Meet Five Global Creators Named Ambassadors for the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2026
Five global creators have been named ambassadors for the upcoming 1 Billion Followers Summit 2026, set to take place in Dubai from January 9–11, 2026. Organized by the UAE Government Media Office, the summit returns for its fourth edition under the theme “Content for Good” and will be hosted across Jumeirah Emirates Towers, DIFC, and the Museum of the Future. This landmark event is expected to bring together content creators with a combined following of over three billion people, making it one of the most influential gatherings in the global creator economy.
The newly appointed ambassadors reflect the diverse power of digital storytelling. Simon Squibb, a British entrepreneur and founder of HelpBnk, has become one of the internet’s most influential business creators, mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs globally. Supercar Blondie (Alexandra Hirschi), an Australian content creator based in the UAE, has amassed a social media empire by showcasing futuristic cars and luxury lifestyles to over 100 million followers. Khalid Al Ameri, a beloved Emirati content creator, is known for his culturally rich and emotionally resonant videos that explore relationships and social values across the Arab world. Joining them is Omar Farooq, the Bahraini filmmaker and YouTube personality famous for his “Omar Tries” series, which has garnered over 1.2 billion views. Rounding out the group is Ammar Kandil, co-founder of Yes Theory, whose work inspires millions to embrace discomfort and seek meaningful adventures.
This year’s summit brings more than just faces it brings funding and innovation. A highlight will be the launch of a USD 1 million AI-generated short film contest, making it the world’s largest prize of its kind. The initiative, created in collaboration with Google Gemini, aims to push the boundaries of creative technology. Additionally, the Creators Ventures Program, backed by AED 50 million (USD 13.6 million), will support projects led by creators that focus on positive social impact. A Content Creation Companies Pavilion will also showcase around 100 startups and SMEs working at the forefront of the digital storytelling space.
By bringing together globally influential voices, funding groundbreaking initiatives, and focusing on content that creates real-world impact, the 1 Billion Followers Summit continues to cement Dubai’s position as a global capital for digital creativity and content innovation.
