Emirates to build massive cabin crew village in Dubai Investments Park

Emirates Airline is developing a large-scale Cabin Crew Village at Dubai Investments Park (DIP), a multi-billion-dirham project designed to house up to 12,000 cabin crew members as part of the airline’s long-term growth and workforce strategy.

Strategically positioned almost equidistant between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC), the new development will support Emirates’ current operations while preparing for its future transition to Al Maktoum International Airport, which is set to become the world’s largest aviation hub.

A self-contained lifestyle community

Unlike traditional staff accommodation, the Cabin Crew Village is being designed as a fully integrated residential community, with a strong emphasis on crew wellbeing, convenience, and quality of life.

The project will feature 20 modern residential towers, each rising 19 floors, offering a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments tailored to cabin crew needs. At full capacity, the village will be able to accommodate up to 12,000 Emirates crew members.

Amenities focused on well-being

The development will include a central multi-purpose hub and a wide range of lifestyle amenities aimed at minimizing the need for residents to travel outside the community. Planned facilities include:

  • Retail outlets and restaurants

  • Modern fitness centres and medical clinics

  • Resort-style swimming pools

  • Landscaped parks, green spaces, and walking trails

  • Dedicated convenience facilities within each residential building

This approach reflects Emirates’ focus on enhancing employee experience, particularly for its globally mobile cabin crew workforce.

Construction timeline and future plans

Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with the first phase scheduled for completion by 2029. The scale and location of the project align closely with Emirates’ long-term expansion plans and the gradual shift of operations toward DWC, which will play a central role in Dubai’s aviation future.

Once completed, the Cabin Crew Village is set to become one of the largest airline crew residential developments in the world, reinforcing Emirates’ commitment to investing in its people as it prepares for its next phase of growth.
