Qatar to see strong northwesterly winds and reduced visibility on February 25–26
Qatar is set to experience fresh to strong northwesterly winds on February 25 and 26, 2026, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD).
The department said wind speeds are expected to intensify during the two-day period, with blowing dust likely to reduce horizontal visibility in several areas. Residents, particularly motorists, are advised to exercise caution due to potential sudden gusts and dusty conditions.
Marine warnings have also been issued, with strong winds expected to create rough sea conditions offshore. Sea-goers and fishermen are urged to monitor official updates and avoid venturing out during peak wind activity.
Authorities continue to advise the public to follow safety guidelines and stay updated through official weather bulletins as conditions develop.
