She’s Back: Wednesday Season 2 Is Now Streaming

The summer just got darker and a lot more funereal. Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) has officially returned to Nevermore Academy, and Season 2 of Wednesday is now streaming on Netflix. Part 1, which includes four new episodes, is available to watch now, while Part 2 arrives on September 3.

A New Semester of Shadows

This season promises more mystery, more mayhem, and a whole lot more Addams family drama. According to co-showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, Season 2 dives deeper into Wednesday’s personal relationships while adding new supernatural twists. “Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex,” they reveal. “She navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries.” Gone are the days of merely surviving school now, Nevermore Academy is a battlefield of personal and paranormal proportions.

What’s New in Season 2?

In true Wednesday fashion, nothing is ever what it seems. Creator Miles Millar teases: “She thinks she knows Nevermore, but nothing goes the way she expects. She believes she’s in control , but she’s not.”

Fans will find new characters, returning cast favorites, and deeper explorations of the Addams family dynamic. One major shake-up? Wednesday’s school and family life now collide.

Director and executive producer Tim Burton says it best: “Your family at school is the worst thing possible, isn’t it?”

Meet the Addamses: Expanded Roles

Season 2 brings more of the Addams Family into the mix:

  • Pugsley Addams (Isaac Ordonez) joins Nevermore, and it’s as chaotic as you’d expect. He’s struggling with his electrokinesis powers and his identity under the shadow of his infamous sister.

  • Morticia and Gomez Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán) make frequent appearances on campus — much to Wednesday’s horror. Expect sword fights and sharp words.

  • Grandmama Frump joins the party, played by the legendary Joanna Lumley. She’s one of the few characters who can make Wednesday smile, and fans will love her witchy, bone-chilling presence.

Behind the Scenes: Swords, Smirks, and Sibling Rivalry

Jenna Ortega returns as the perfectly deadpan Wednesday, and even she couldn’t hide her excitement while filming fencing scenes with Zeta-Jones: “She’s so good! You can see she was a dancer.”

Isaac Ordonez brings pathos to Pugsley, with Burton noting: “He’s kind of an outcast among outcasts this season.” And as for Grandmama, Lumley fits right into the eerie charm of the show, saying: “It’s gothic, sometimes quite bone-chilling, but it’s kind of playful.”

When and Where to Watch
