A Night to Remember: Royal Rumble IV Set to Deliver Thrilling Boxing Action in Bahrain

A blockbuster eight-bout card is set to ignite the ring tomorrow night as Royal Rumble IV takes place at Crowne Plaza Bahrain, headlined by fighters from Bahrain’s Royal Guard and the UK Armed Forces (UKAF). The highly anticipated event returns under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, with all proceeds supporting the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF).

The action-packed programme includes seven elite contests and one junior fight. The evening will open with a 60kg junior showdown between Bahrain’s Abdulrahman Al Mudahki and Saudi Arabia’s Rayan Altayaar. Elite bouts will begin with a 67kg clash between the Royal Guard’s Isaac Zaman and the UKAF’s Dylan Swales, followed by a 60kg face-off between Bahrain’s Medhi Sahak and Saudi fighter Khalid Al Marri.

Another thrilling matchup will see the Royal Guard’s Israel Davis take on UKAF powerhouse Dominik Zieba in a 90kg contest. A charity auction featuring exclusive memorabilia and valuable prizes will take place during the interval, adding to the night’s excitement.

The final stretch of fights includes a 57kg elite women’s bout between Bahrain’s Maryam Khamis and Saudi’s Khaltoum Hantoul, followed by an over-92kg battle between the Royal Guard’s Isaac Augustine and UKAF’s Kieran Cooper. Abdulla Alabdullah will face Blaine Lambert in a 67kg encounter before the programme culminates in a showdown between the Royal Guard’s Prakash Limbu and the UKAF’s Leon Moulds.

Official weigh-ins are scheduled this evening at 7pm at The Avenues Bahrain, hosted at the Euro Motors Boutique.

Royal Guard fighters have been actively preparing, including earlier participation in the third edition of International Boxing Night at the Infantry Training Centre in Catterick Garrison, England, where they secured two wins out of six bouts against top British Army opponents.

Adding star power to the event, Royal Rumble IV will welcome renowned boxing champions such as two-time world champion and Olympic silver-medallist Amir Khan, WBO cruiserweight and WBC bridgerweight world champion Lawrence Okolie, WBA (Regular) super-middleweight champion Rocky Fielding, former middleweight world champion Darren Barker, and ex-super featherweight world champion Barry Jones. Entertainment icons and popular Bahraini singer Amal Al Anbary will also be present to elevate the atmosphere.

Now established as Bahrain’s premier charity boxing event, Royal Rumble continues its legacy of success. Royal Rumble III raised approximately BD60,000 for the RHF, with the Royal Guard dominating six of eight bouts. The inaugural 2022 edition saw the Royal Guard win eight of nine fights, followed by another strong showing in 2023 when they triumphed in six of nine matches against the British Army’s Parachute Regiment.

Royal Rumble IV promises to be another unforgettable night of sport, charity, and entertainment cementing its place as one of the kingdom’s most exciting annual events.
