Bahrain Dominate Kuwait to Stay Perfect at U16 Arab Basketball Championship

Bahrain continued their dominant run at the 22nd U16 Arab Basketball Championship in Cairo, clinching their third straight win with an emphatic 81-57 victory over Kuwait. After a tight first quarter, Bahrain pulled away with a 19-2 run in the second to take a commanding 44-28 halftime lead. They maintained control throughout, finishing strong by holding Kuwait to just six points in the final period. Somto Patrick Onoduenyi led the way with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and five steals, while Hassan Fouad and Hassan Abdulkadir added 14 and 12 points off the bench. The nationals, who previously beat Qatar and Algeria, now enjoy a rest day before facing Tunisia tomorrow and hosts Egypt on Friday. With this win, Bahrain move closer to a place in Sunday’s final, where the top two teams from the round-robin will face off for the title.
