Bengaluru to Get a World-Class Cricket Stadium in Suryanagar-Anekal
The state of Bengaluru is set to welcome a monumental addition to its sporting landscape: a new international cricket stadium that promises to be one of the most advanced in the country. Spread across 75 acres in Suryanagar-Anekal, the proposed stadium will have a seating capacity of 80,000 spectators and come at an estimated cost of ₹2,350 crore.
The upcoming venue is expected to redefine the cricketing experience in Karnataka, offering world-class infrastructure, cutting-edge technology, and fan-friendly amenities. Once completed, it will stand among India’s largest cricket stadiums, rivaling iconic venues like Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium and Kolkata’s Eden Gardens.
Planned as a multi-purpose sports and entertainment hub, the facility will not only host international and domestic cricket matches but also major events, concerts, and community activities. The project aims to boost local development in the Suryanagar-Anekal region, generating employment and driving tourism while strengthening Bengaluru’s position as a major sports destination in South India.
With Bengaluru already home to passionate cricket fans and a strong sporting culture, the new stadium is poised to become a landmark venue for both athletes and audiences alike, blending modern design with the city’s love for the game.
