Kuwait Unveils Messilah Beach Redevelopment to Boost National Tourism

Kuwait City, October 2025 – Kuwait has officially opened the redeveloped Messilah Beach, marking a major milestone in the nation’s ongoing efforts to expand its tourism and leisure offerings. The project, one of the country’s largest coastal revitalisation initiatives in recent years, reflects Kuwait’s broader vision to create world-class destinations that attract both local and regional visitors.
Developed by the Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC) in partnership with the private sector, and managed by United Projects for Aviation Services (UPAC), the new Messilah Beach offers a contemporary blend of recreation, family fun, and environmental design. Stretching across 70,000 square metres along Kuwait’s southern coastline, the destination features a 250-metre beachfront, four swimming pools, sports courts, a Sky Trail adventure course, children’s play areas, and an outdoor theatre. Visitors can also enjoy landscaped gardens, a multi-purpose events hall, and 350 shaded parking spaces.
Officials emphasized that the redeveloped Messilah Beach revives one of Kuwait’s historic seaside landmarks, transforming it into a sustainable and inclusive leisure hub. The project aims to combine cultural, environmental, and entertainment elements in line with Kuwait’s long-term tourism strategy.
The launch coincides with the anticipated debut of the Visit Kuwait digital platform next week a comprehensive online hub that will streamline e-visas, provide interactive maps, showcase cultural information, and connect tourists with private-sector offers. Together, these initiatives underline Kuwait’s commitment to modernizing its visitor experience and strengthening its position as a growing tourism destination in the Gulf region.
With Messilah Beach now open, Kuwait continues to signal its intent to diversify the national economy through tourism, develop family-friendly attractions, and create vibrant coastal experiences that reflect the country’s cultural identity and modern ambitions.
