Dubai Launches World’s Largest Auto Trade Hub, Aiming to Redefine Global Car Market

Dubai is accelerating its rise as a global automotive powerhouse with the official launch of the 22-million-square-foot Dubai Auto Market, a transformative initiative aimed at positioning the emirate as the world’s premier destination for car buyers, traders, and manufacturers. 

The launch, presided over by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister, marks a major milestone in Dubai’s vision to become a global hub for vehicle trade, logistics, and industry services. The project is spearheaded by DP World, leveraging its global logistics network and expertise in automotive supply chains.

Once completed, the Dubai Auto Market will host over 1,500 showrooms, workshop zones, warehouses, a multi-storey parking facility, auction house, convention centre, and retail and hospitality spaces. The hub is designed to handle more than 800,000 vehicles annually, spanning electric, hybrid, and conventional cars, and connecting exporters with markets across Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
