Bahrain Artefacts Showcased at Opening of UAE Museum
Ancient artefacts from Bahrain were prominently showcased at the opening of the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi, marking one of the largest recent loans of cultural objects to a museum in another country. The exhibition highlights the depth of Bahrain’s historical legacy and its enduring cultural links with the wider region.
The collection comprises 19 artefacts dating back to the Dilmun and Tylos periods, offering visitors a glimpse into Bahrain’s ancient civilisations. The items include pottery, copper objects, coins and glassware, each carefully selected to represent key aspects of the Kingdom’s archaeological and cultural heritage within the museum’s galleries.
The inclusion of Bahraini artefacts at the Zayed National Museum underscores the importance of regional collaboration in preserving and promoting shared history. It also reflects Bahrain’s commitment to showcasing its heritage on an international stage while fostering cultural exchange with the United Arab Emirates.
By contributing these significant artefacts, Bahrain reinforces its role as a cradle of ancient civilisation in the Gulf, allowing global audiences to engage with its rich past through one of the region’s most prominent cultural institutions.
