Bahrain Achieves Top Regional Rankings in CEOWORLD and Global Reports 2026
CEOWORLD magazine’s 2026 indices highlight Bahrain’s ongoing progress across multiple sectors. While Bahrain is not ranked 3rd globally in a single comprehensive list, it maintains a strong presence in the Arab region.
In the Global Reputation Index 2026, Bahrain ranks 45th worldwide with a score of 80.15, reflecting its growing international stature. The kingdom is also listed as the 48th richest country globally by GDP per capita, demonstrating a robust economy relative to population size.
Bahrain excels regionally in other reports. The UN Human Development Report 2025 ranks Bahrain 3rd among Arab countries with a Human Development Index (HDI) of 0.899, behind only the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Bahrain has made remarkable strides in digital government, ranking 3rd in the Arab region and 18th globally, showcasing its commitment to innovation and e-governance.
These rankings underscore Bahrain’s efforts to balance economic growth, human development, and technological advancement, positioning the kingdom as a leading performer in the Arab world while gaining recognition on the global stage.
