UAE Weather Alert: Rainfall in Al Ain, Dust Storms and Low Visibility in Dubai

Dubai/Al Ain, UAE – September 5, 2025:
The UAE witnessed unstable weather on Friday as scattered rain fell over parts of Al Ain, including Um Ghafa, around 4 PM. Meanwhile, residents in Dubai experienced dusty winds, cloudy skies, and significantly reduced visibility due to sandstorms and whirlwinds. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a weather alert advising residents to exercise caution, especially on roads where driving conditions have been affected.
According to the latest NCM forecast, convective cloud formation associated with rainfall is likely to persist across eastern and southern areas of the UAE until 8 PM today. There are further warnings of mist, fog, and light to moderate rain over the weekend, with a potential increase in humidity at night and early mornings.
Authorities are urging motorists to stay alert, avoid speeding, and check weather conditions before traveling. People with respiratory conditions are also advised to take precautions due to dust and allergens in the air.
As the UAE transitions into its post-summer period, such fluctuating conditions are not uncommon, and the NCM continues to monitor the situation closely with updates issued regularly.
