Google Gemini AI Search Expands to Arabic and 35+ Languages, Reaches 200+ Countries
Google has expanded its Gemini-powered AI search experience, known as AI Mode, to over 35 new languages, including Arabic, extending availability to more than 200 countries and territories. Powered by the latest Gemini AI model, this update enhances natural language understanding and multimedia handling, delivering search results that are more accurate, contextually relevant, and culturally tailored. AI Mode allows users to interact with Google Search in a dynamic, conversational manner, particularly suited for exploratory questions and complex tasks.
According to Google, AI Mode users tend to ask queries nearly three times longer than those using traditional search, signaling a shift toward deeper, analytical exploration. The update also introduces Query Expansion technology, which breaks user questions into multiple subtopics and runs several searches simultaneously, enabling a broader and more nuanced discovery of information. Google first launched AI Mode in the MENA region in English last August, and the addition of Arabic now represents a major milestone in providing linguistically accurate and culturally relevant responses for Arabic-speaking users across diverse domains. This expansion reinforces Google’s commitment to making AI search accessible globally, while enabling users to engage with content in their preferred languages with richer and more relevant results.
