Sharjah Charity Plans 900,000 Iftar Meals Across 129 Ramadan Tents
As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, Sharjah Charity International has completed extensive preparations for its annual iftar campaign, aiming to distribute 900,000 meals to fasting individuals across the emirate.
The organisation has equipped 129 Ramadan tents and meal distribution sites throughout Sharjah to ensure that low-income families and vulnerable members of the community receive daily iftar meals during the month.
Careful Planning and Coordination-
Mohammed Rashid bin Bayat, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, confirmed that the association worked closely with approved catering kitchens to guarantee smooth operations at all designated locations. The selected kitchens were vetted under strict food safety and health standards to safeguard the wellbeing of beneficiaries.
To maintain meal quality, specialised containers and transportation systems have been deployed. These measures ensure that meals are preserved under optimal conditions and delivered safely from kitchens to distribution sites across the emirate.
Supporting the Community During Ramadan-
The “Iftar” campaign reflects Sharjah Charity’s continued commitment to social solidarity and humanitarian support during Ramadan. With nearly a million meals planned, the initiative is expected to make a significant impact, particularly for low-income workers and families who rely on community support during the fasting month.
Through round-the-clock coordination and carefully managed logistics, the organisation aims to deliver not just meals, but dignity, care, and compassion to those observing Ramadan across Sharjah.
