Saudi Arabia’s Luxury Dream of the Desert Train Now Open for 2026 Bookings
Saudi Arabia’s ultra-luxury rail experience, Dream of the Desert, is officially open for bookings and it promises to redefine opulent travel when it launches in 2026. Guests can now reserve their suites for the inaugural journeys, securing a front-row seat to an immersive, culture-rich retreat on wheels.
Designed by architect and interior designer Aline Asmar d’Amman and her studio Culture in Architecture, the train’s aesthetic pays homage to traditional Saudi craftsmanship. Expect wooden marquetry, rich textiles, soft ambient lighting, and interior touches inspired by the Kingdom’s equestrian heritage.
The train features 14 carriages and 33 luxury cabins, accommodating 66 passengers who will be served by dedicated butlers and enjoy 24-hour room service. Adding to the allure, the experience includes an array of live performances, curated to enhance the ambiance throughout the journey.
Bookings for the 2026 season are now live, with prices starting at SAR 30,000 per cabin per night. To secure a reservation, travellers must provide a fully refundable pre-reservation deposit of SAR 2,500.
