Oman Launches 'Hayah' — First Digital Platform for Drug Awareness and Addiction Support

Oman Launches ‘Hayah’ – A National Digital Platform for Drug Awareness and Support
The Sultanate of Oman has launched “Hayah” (Arabic for life), the country’s first digital platform dedicated to drug awareness, prevention, and addiction recovery support. The national initiative, involving seven government ministries, aims to address the rising social and health challenges associated with drug abuse and psychotropic substances. Developed in collaboration with ministries including Social Development, Health, Education, and Information, Hayah offers a central hub for education, advisory services, and live support for individuals and families affected by substance abuse.
Through the platform, users can access reliable information, mental health guidance, treatment pathways, and rehabilitation resources, all designed to encourage a drug-free lifestyle. Hayah features real-life stories of recovery, audio-visual learning tools, and psychological support via a live chat function on https://www.hayah.om In addition, it provides access to confidential consultations through a toll-free hotline: 1110.
One of the key features of Hayah is its support for recovering addicts, offering motivation and community reintegration tools to help prevent relapse. By leveraging digital tools to make support services more accessible and stigma-free, Oman aims to foster a more informed, responsible, and resilient society.
