India Dominate Pakistan with 6-Wicket Win in Dubai Showdown

India Outclass Pakistan by Six Wickets in Asia Cup Super Four Clash

India reinforced their status as Asia Cup favourites with a commanding six-wicket win over arch-rivals Pakistan in the Super Four stage at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The match saw an explosive start from India’s top order, spearheaded by Abhishek Sharma, who smashed a brilliant 74 off just 39 deliveries, including six boundaries and five sixes. Partnering him at the top was Shubman Gill, who contributed a rapid 47 off 28 balls, helping India post a formidable 105-run opening stand that laid the foundation for a comfortable chase.

Chasing Pakistan’s total of 171, India made steady progress even after the openers departed. Despite a brief wobble with Sanju Samson falling for 13, the calm presence of Tilak Varma (26 not out) and Hardik Pandya (7 not out) ensured India crossed the finish line with seven balls to spare, finishing the chase in 18.5 overs.

Earlier, Pakistan posted a total of 171, largely thanks to a composed 58-run knock from opener Sahibzada Farhan. He received support from Saim Ayub (21) early on, but the innings stuttered in the middle overs. However, a late flurry of runs from Mohammad Nawaz (21), Faheem Ashraf (20), and Salman Agha (17) helped push Pakistan to a competitive total.

India’s bowlers kept things tight, with Shivam Dube impressing by picking up 2 wickets, while Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav chipped in with a wicket each. The bowling unit’s discipline, combined with the batting firepower at the top, proved too much for Pakistan on the day.

With this win, India further solidified their position in the Super Four standings and sent a strong message to the rest of the contenders in the tournament. Their balance, depth, and big-match temperament once again came to the fore against their fiercest rivals.
