Where to Watch the Beaver Supermoon in the UAE Tomorrow
UAE Skies to Light Up With the Final Supermoon of 2025
Get your telescopes and cameras ready the Beaver Supermoon, the last and largest full moon of 2025, will illuminate the UAE skies this week. The celestial event will rise on the evening of November 4, reaching its peak brightness just after sunset on November 5.
What Makes This Supermoon Special-
A supermoon occurs when the Moon reaches its closest point to Earth in its orbit a position known as perigee while appearing fully illuminated. This proximity makes it appear up to 14% larger and 30% brighter than a typical full moon. During this month’s event, the Moon will be only 356,980 kilometres from Earth, its closest distance of the entire year. As it first rises above the eastern horizon around 5:17 PM, it will glow a deep golden-orange, gradually turning a silvery white as it ascends higher into the night sky.
Why It’s Called the Beaver Moon-
The Beaver Moon name dates back centuries to Native American tribes and early settlers. November marked the time when beavers prepared for winter, repairing dams and storing food before rivers froze. Hunters would set traps before the cold season hence, the “Beaver Moon.” Other traditional names for this lunar event include the Digging Moon, Frost Moon, and Deer Rutting Moon, each symbolizing nature’s preparations for winter.
