Bahrain U-19 Handball Team Falls to Egypt in Second Straight World Championship Loss

Bahrain’s under-19 national handball team endured their second consecutive defeat at the 11th IHF Men’s Youth World Championship in Egypt, falling 36–28 to the host nation on Thursday night.
The match, held as part of the preliminary round of the tournament, saw Bahrain struggle to keep pace with a dominant Egyptian side, who capitalized on their home-court advantage and strong defense.
Despite flashes of promise and effort from the young Bahraini squad, the team couldn't close the gap, trailing throughout the second half. With this loss, Bahrain faces a tougher path ahead in their group and will need to regroup quickly to keep their hopes alive in the competition.
The championship, organized by the International Handball Federation (IHF), brings together the world’s best youth teams and is being hosted in Egypt for the first time since 2019.
