Bahrain Unveils 24/7 E‑Lockers: A Convenient New Way to Collect Parcels

Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has introduced an innovative self-service parcel collection system Bahrain Post e‑lockers which residents can now use around the clock. Launched on September 2, 2025, this initiative places secure electronic lockers at strategic high-traffic commercial hubs, such as Seef Mall (Seef District, Muharraq, and Isa Town), Marassi Galleria, The Avenues, Souq Al‑Barraha, Dragon City, and Saar Mall, with plans to expand to additional locations in the near future
Users receive a unique access code and locker location notification via their preferred communication channel, enabling them to pick up parcels at any time no need to adjust personal schedules or wait for delivery personnel. The system also permits authorized individuals to retrieve parcels using the same access code, adding flexibility
This digital e‑locker system is part of Bahrain’s broader effort to modernize postal infrastructure, aligning with the Kingdom’s digital transformation vision. It complements other e‑services in the postal ecosystem such as biometric-enabled parcel tracking via the My Gov app and digitized mailbox and shipment management creating a seamless, user-centric postal experience
In essence, the new e‑lockers mark a major leap toward transforming Bahrain’s postal operations into a modern, efficient, and customer-friendly service that meets the demands of its fast-paced, digital-savvy residents.
