New Avengers: Doomsday teaser confirms Bahrain as filming location
A newly released teaser for Avengers: Doomsday has confirmed that parts of the highly anticipated Marvel film were shot in Bahrain, marking another major Hollywood production to feature the Kingdom on the global stage.
The teaser reveals the return of several fan-favourite characters, including Shuri as Black Panther, M’Baku, Namor, and Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing from the Fantastic Four. One scene shows a light-hearted exchange between M’Baku and Ben Grimm, offering comic relief amid the film’s darker tone.
Notably, scenes featuring Shuri and M’Baku navigating a vast desert landscape were filmed in Bahrain. Production for Avengers: Doomsday took place in the Kingdom in May 2025, when cast members and director Joe Russo were spotted locally. Bahrain-based production companies, including Blusteel Films, were involved in facilitating the shoot.
The inclusion of Bahrain’s desert locations underscores the country’s growing reputation as a destination for international film productions, showcasing its versatile landscapes and expanding film infrastructure. The project further positions Bahrain as an emerging hub for large-scale global entertainment projects.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for release in the United States on December 18, 2026.
