Consortium for Arab Research Integration Launched at Bahrain Forum
A new consortium aimed at enhancing collaboration among research institutions in Bahrain and across the Arab world was unveiled yesterday during a major regional conference. The Arab Think Tanks and Research Centres Network was officially launched by the Saudi-based Gulf Research Centre during the seventh Annual Derasat Forum, which concluded yesterday.
The initiative seeks to strengthen ties between think tanks, academic institutions, and policy research centres, fostering the exchange of knowledge, joint projects, and capacity-building across the region. By connecting experts and institutions, the network aims to address shared challenges and promote evidence-based policy development in Arab countries.
Officials attending the launch highlighted the importance of regional research integration in advancing socio-economic development, technological innovation, and sustainable governance. They noted that the consortium will provide a structured platform for collaborative studies, workshops, and conferences that leverage the expertise of participating institutions.
The launch of the Arab Think Tanks and Research Centres Network marks a significant step toward creating a more cohesive and impactful research ecosystem in the Arab world, with Bahrain positioned as a hub for knowledge exchange and regional collaboration.
