UAE Welcomes Cooler Days as Temperatures Drop Below 15°C in Eastern Regions
As October draws to a close, the United Arab Emirates is ushering in a refreshing change in weather, signaling the long-awaited transition from the summer heat to the cooler winter season. According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), early mornings across the country are becoming noticeably cooler, with daytime temperatures now staying comfortably below 35°C, a welcome relief for residents and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
This gradual drop in temperature marks the beginning of a pleasant and sustained cooling trend, expected to continue over the coming days. The shift is particularly evident in the eastern regions of the UAE, where the mercury is forecast to dip to around 15°C, making these areas slightly cooler than the rest of the country.
The NCM predicts that the cooling will become more pronounced over the weekend, creating ideal conditions for evening walks, beach outings, and desert adventures. Mountain areas are also seeing a noticeable chill, with highs ranging between 22°C and 28°C, offering a picturesque and refreshing escape from the city warmth.
Today’s forecast calls for generally fair to partly cloudy skies, with cloud formations developing over the eastern and southern regions, which may become convective by afternoon. Coastal and island areas can expect highs between 30°C and 35°C, while inland zones will see slightly warmer conditions ranging from 33°C to 38°C.
Humidity levels are expected to rise overnight and into Friday morning, particularly in coastal and inland regions, possibly leading to patches of fog or mist, especially in the western parts of the country. Residents are advised to drive cautiously during early hours if visibility drops.
Winds will remain light to moderate, occasionally picking up during the day, while sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are forecast to remain calm and stable, ensuring safe conditions for boating and other marine activities.
With the arrival of this cooler spell, the UAE is officially entering one of its most comfortable and outdoor-friendly seasons, inviting residents and visitors to make the most of the beautiful weather ahead.
