UAE Petrol, Diesel Prices for February 2026: Will Fuel Costs Fall or Rise?
Fuel prices in the UAE for February 2026 are due to be announced soon, and early indicators suggest that motorists may face a slight rise or stable rates at the pump rather than another cut.
In January 2026, the UAE’s Fuel Price Committee cut prices across all fuel grades, with Super 98 petrol at Dh2.53 per litre, Special 95 at Dh2.42, E-Plus 91 at Dh2.34, and diesel at Dh2.55 marking a notable decline from December levels. The committee reviews fuel prices monthly, aligning local pump costs with global oil averages and refining costs.
Since early January, global oil prices have strengthened, with Brent crude trading roughly between $63 and $66 a barrel and US oil around $59–$61. This uptick is driven in part by renewed geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, uncertainties over oil output from countries such as Venezuela, and production disruptions in parts of the global supply chain.
At the same time, rising oil stockpiles particularly in the United States suggest ample supply, which could temper sharp price increases.
As a result, analysts say a small rise in February pump prices is more likely than another reduction. However, global supplies remain comfortable, and any change at the pump is not expected to be dramatic under current conditions. Diesel may remain firmer than petrol, as global diesel markets have shown tighter supply compared to gasoline.
The official fuel rates for February are expected when the UAE Fuel Price Committee announces new prices on January 31, reflecting global oil movements before that pricing window closes.
