Qatar interior ministry urges residents to move indoors to safer locations if explosions are heard

The Ministry of Interior of Qatar has advised residents to move to safer indoor locations if an explosion is heard, urging the public to follow precautionary safety measures during the current situation. According to the ministry, individuals should seek shelter in secure interior areas of buildings to reduce exposure to potential hazards.

Recommended safe locations include basements, interior rooms, hallways or corridors, and areas under staircases, which provide greater protection from potential debris or external impacts. Authorities also warned residents to avoid staying near external walls, glass facades, rooftops, balconies, or open outdoor areas, as these places may pose additional risks.

The ministry further urged the public to avoid going outside unless absolutely necessary and remain indoors until authorities confirm that the situation has returned to normal. Residents are encouraged to follow official instructions and updates issued through government channels to stay informed and ensure their safety.
