Over 800 Musical Performances Light Up Muharraq Nights Festival
The fourth edition of the Muharraq Nights Festival is delivering a rich and diverse music programme, featuring more than 800 musical performances that have attracted strong public turnout and engagement. The performances are taking place across multiple locations in historic Muharraq as part of the Celebrate Bahrain Season 2025.
Artists and bands from Bahrain and several Arab countries are performing across venues along the Pearling Path, presenting a wide variety of musical styles and vocal evenings. The programme reflects the depth and diversity of the region’s artistic traditions while offering contemporary musical experiences in open-air and heritage settings.
Bahraini folk bands are playing a prominent role in the festival, presenting traditional musical forms such as Fjiri, Sawt, Ardha, Dagg Al Hab, and Khamari. These heritage performances are hosted at key cultural landmarks, including Dar Al Muharraq, Mohammed bin Faris House, and the Pearling Path Visitor and Experience Centre, celebrating Bahrain’s rich musical legacy.
At Qal’at Bu Mahir, the programme blends classical and contemporary music, alongside selections from the golden era of Arabic songs, creating performances that complement the fort’s historic character. Evenings at the site range from Gulf and Eastern music to choral performances and Arab musical nights.
]Music continues along various stations of the Pearling Path, with public squares transformed into open-air stages. Suq Barahat Fakhro hosts intimate performances close to audiences, while Suq Block 216 features women’s folk bands presenting Murada and traditional chants, highlighting the vital role of women in preserving Bahrain’s musical heritage.
Additional performances are being held at venues such as Dar Amana, Albareh Art Space, Kalimat House, Jamsheer House through The House evenings, as well as Al Fareeda Square and the Bahrain Club, where live music forms a core part of the festival’s programme.
The Muharraq Nights Festival continues daily until December 30, running from 5 pm to 10 pm from Sunday to Wednesday, and from 5 pm to 12 am from Thursday to Saturday, across the Pearling Path.
