New Year’s Eve 2026: Watch Dubai’s Fireworks from the Water
Dubai residents and visitors will be able to welcome 2026 from the water as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) introduces special New Year’s Eve marine transport services, offering front-row views of the city’s iconic fireworks and skyline. The initiative provides a unique sea-based celebration experience, combining comfort, scenic views, and a festive atmosphere.
The marine trips allow passengers to avoid crowded land-based viewing areas while enjoying uninterrupted views of Dubai’s most famous landmarks. During a single journey, passengers will be able to watch fireworks and light displays at key locations including Burj Khalifa, JBR, and Burj Al Arab, making the experience both immersive and memorable.
According to RTA, the New Year’s Eve marine services will operate with limited capacity to ensure passenger comfort and safety, creating a more exclusive experience. Several transport options will be available, catering to different preferences and group sizes.
Traditional abra services will depart from Al Fahidi, Al Jaddaf, and Al Ghubaiba, with tickets priced at Dh150 per person. Dubai Ferry services will operate from Marina Mall, Al Ghubaiba, and Bluewaters, with fares starting from Dh350 per person. For those seeking a private experience, water taxis will be available for exclusive booking, accommodating up to 20 passengers for Dh3,750 per trip.
RTA said the initiative aims to offer a safe, scenic, and distinctive way to celebrate the New Year, while also easing pressure on busy land viewing spots across the city. Passengers are encouraged to book early, as availability is limited and demand for New Year’s Eve marine services is expected to be high.
