Dubai Police reported a significant increase in public enquiries during recent unstable weather conditions, handling a total of 39,299 calls over Thursday and Friday as emergency and non-emergency services operated around the clock.
According to official figures, emergency number 999 received 32,391 calls, while 6,908 calls were handled through 901, the non-emergency contact line. In addition to phone calls, call centre teams responded to 427 emails and managed 1,690 live chat conversations via the Dubai Police website, providing guidance, reassurance, and support to the public.
Dubai Police praised the dedication and professionalism of teams at the Command and Control Centre and the 901 Contact Centre for ensuring swift, efficient responses during challenging weather conditions. Their efforts helped maintain public safety and ensure uninterrupted access to essential services.
Authorities also reminded residents to use 999 strictly for emergency situations, urging the public to contact 901 for non-urgent matters and general service enquiries to help keep emergency lines available for critical cases.
