New connecting bridge opens in Busaiteen to ease traffic flow

A new connecting bridge has been opened in Busaiteen, linking Shaikh Isa bin Salman Bridge with Road 105, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance Bahrain’s road infrastructure and improve traffic movement across key areas.

The newly inaugurated bridge has a capacity to handle up to 4,000 vehicles per hour, significantly boosting traffic efficiency and easing congestion in the surrounding districts. Officials said the project is expected to reduce travel time between Manama, Diyar Al Muharraq, and nearby residential and commercial areas.

The bridge forms a critical link in the Kingdom’s transport network, providing smoother connectivity between Muharraq Governorate and the capital. By streamlining vehicle flow, the project aims to support daily commuters while improving access to growing urban developments.

Authorities noted that the opening reflects Bahrain’s continued investment in infrastructure projects designed to enhance mobility, safety, and economic activity. The improved road connection is also expected to contribute to better traffic distribution during peak hours.

The Busaiteen bridge project is part of a broader strategy to modernize the Kingdom’s transport network, supporting urban expansion and improving the overall travel experience for residents and visitors.
