Iran’s ambassador to Qatar denies reports of order to leave Doha
Ali Salehabadi has denied reports claiming that Qatar asked the Iranian mission in Doha to leave the country within a week. In an exclusive statement to Doha News, the ambassador described the claims as “totally fake.”
The denial comes after a report by Iran International alleged that Doha had instructed members of the Iranian diplomatic mission to depart the country.
According to the report, which cited a source connected to the Iranian embassy in Doha, individuals linked to the mission were allegedly refused hotel accommodation following what were described as instructions from the Qatari government.
However, Ambassador Salehabadi rejected the claims outright, dismissing them as false and reiterating that the reports circulating online were inaccurate.
The development comes amid heightened regional tensions, though officials have not indicated any change in diplomatic relations between Iran and Qatar.
