Dubai’s Global Village Sets January 9 for Biggest Drone Show of Season 30

Dubai’s much-loved family attraction, Global Village, has announced the date for what it promises will be the biggest and most spectacular drone show of its current season. The landmark display will take place on Friday, January 9, at 7:15 pm, and organisers are encouraging visitors not to miss the event. 

The announcement follows a memorable New Year’s Eve celebration, during which Global Village welcomed 2026 with seven fireworks and drone shows in a single night. Each celebration was carefully timed to align with the New Year countdowns of several countries, including China, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, the UAE and Turkey, creating a truly global festive experience.

Known as one of Dubai’s top winter destinations, Global Village continues to draw crowds with its blend of entertainment, culture and cuisine. In addition to fireworks and drone shows, visitors can enjoy daily live performances on the main stage, explore international pavilions, sample food from around the world, shop for unique items, and experience a wide range of rides and attractions.

Ticket prices remain affordable, with weekday entry costing Dh25 from Sunday to Thursday, excluding public holidays. A ticket valid for any day of the week is priced at Dh30. Entry is free for children under the age of three, senior citizens above 65, and people of determination.

Season 30 of Global Village will continue until May 10, 2026, after which the destination will close for the summer months due to rising temperatures.
