Bahraini students showcase culture and heritage at Nottingham Trent University global week
A vibrant slice of Bahrain came alive on a campus in the heart of the United Kingdom, as students from the kingdom brought their island’s rich flavor and traditions to an annual celebration of culture and heritage in Nottingham.
The Bahraini Society in Nottingham, led by its president Khalaf Burshaid, proudly represented Bahrain during Global Week at Nottingham Trent University (NTU).
The showcase featured traditional Bahraini attire, popular national dishes, and refreshing drinks, offering visitors an immersive experience of the kingdom’s cultural identity. The vibrant display drew warm responses from students and faculty, highlighting the importance of cross-cultural exchange on campus.
Burshaid said the society’s participation was driven by deep love for Bahrain and pride in representing the kingdom on an international platform. He added that events like Global Week provide an opportunity not only to celebrate heritage but also to build understanding and connections among diverse communities.
The celebration formed part of NTU’s annual initiative aimed at recognizing and promoting the cultures of its international student body, turning the campus into a dynamic hub of global traditions and shared experiences.
