Bahrain Volleyball Association Honours Rising Stars from Golden Generation League

The Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA) recently honoured a group of promising young athletes from the Khalid bin Hamad Golden Generation League, awarding standout cadet and youth players for their performances between 2023 and 2025. The awards were presented on behalf of the General Sports Authority (GSA) during a ceremony held at the BVA headquarters in Isa Sports City, Riffa.

BVA Secretary General Feras Al Helwachi, along with several board members, attended the event and praised the impact of the Golden Generation League on the development of local volleyball talent. The league, supervised by the GSA under the direction of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy Chairman, GSA Chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has played a key role in preparing young athletes for national and regional competition.

“This honour recognises the hard work, dedication, and excellence these players have shown throughout the season,” said Al Helwachi. “It is both an appreciation and a motivation for them to continue their path toward sporting excellence.”

Al Helwachi also thanked the GSA for its continued support, noting that the awards left a positive impression on the young athletes and their families.

In the cadets category, honourees included Hassan Al Abbar and Ahmed Ali Al Khabbaz from Al Ahli; Nasser Allah Taha, Hussein Ali, Mahmoud Jaafar, and Mohammed Hussein from Dar Kulaib; Fadel Abbas and Mustafa Fadel Rashid from Bani Jamra; and Karar Ahmed and Ammar Youssef from Al Nasser.

Youth players honoured included Ali Hussein, Ali Abdullah Sultan, and Ali Abbas Thamer from Dar Kulaib; Mohammed Qasim Abdul Rasoul from Al Shabab; Jassim Mohammed Madan from Nabi Saleh; Hassan Sadiq and Hassan Ayoub from Nasser; and Ali Hussein Ali from Al Ahli.

The recognition not only highlights the emerging talent within Bahrain’s volleyball scene but also reflects the broader vision of fostering youth sports under national leadership.
