Bahrain Gears Up for New School Year with Enhanced Safety and Cleanliness Measures

Bahrain is making final preparations to welcome students back to school this week, with a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and organization as part of a nationwide initiative. As teachers returned to campuses today, students are scheduled to follow on Wednesday, marking the official start of the new academic year.
Authorities have launched a comprehensive, multi-agency plan involving various ministries and government entities to ensure a smooth and secure start to the term. Efforts are centered on boosting security presence around schools, improving traffic safety, and ensuring that all educational facilities are clean and ready to receive students.
Across the kingdom, municipal workers have been deployed to sanitize school grounds, repaint crossings, and clear surrounding areas of debris, ensuring a healthy and welcoming environment. Meanwhile, traffic police have been stationed near high-density school zones to direct traffic flow and enforce safety regulations, particularly during drop-off and pick-up hours.
In coordination with the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Education, the campaign also includes awareness initiatives for parents and students, emphasizing the importance of road safety, responsible behavior, and maintaining hygiene within school premises.
Officials noted that Bahrain’s commitment to student welfare and educational excellence is at the heart of these efforts, as the country continues to invest in creating safe learning environments for its youth.
With all systems in place, Bahrain is set for a smooth and positive start to the 2025–2026 academic year, reflecting a nationwide commitment to education, safety, and community collaboration.
