Bahrain’s Blood Moon Spectacle: Stargazing Evening at Adliya

On Sunday, September 7, 2025, Bahrain will be treated to a rare and mesmerizing celestial event a total lunar eclipse, also known as a Blood Moon. The kingdom will witness this stunning phenomenon beginning with the penumbral phase, moving into partial coverage around 7:30 p.m., and culminating in a rich, crimson-hued lunar totality that lasts for approximately 1 hour and 22 minutes, before drawing to a close around 10:56 p.m.
To celebrate this awe-inspiring occasion, the Bahrain Astronomical Society is hosting a special evening at their library hall in Adliya, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Visitors will be treated to informative astronomy lectures, live telescope viewing sessions, and a large-screen projection of the eclipse itself perfect for both astronomy enthusiasts and families alike.
