Abu Dhabi Gears Up for Expanded ADIHEX 2025 Featuring Falcons, Camels, Culture, and Cutting-Edge Tech

Abu Dhabi is once again bringing together tradition, innovation, and conservation under one roof as it hosts the 2025 edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) from September 1 to 7 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). This year’s edition sees a significant expansion, featuring 15 sectors, up from 11 last year, and welcoming over 1,500 companies and brands from more than 65 countries, with strong participation from local UAE businesses and organizations.
Organizers expect to surpass last year’s estimated Dh500 million economic impact, driven by increased global interest and a broader showcase of both commercial and cultural offerings. Central to the exhibition remains falconry, a cherished tradition in the UAE, with this year marking record-breaking interest. Eight falcon auctions four held before the event and four during feature 46 falcon farms, a steep rise from just 11 in 2024.
The highlight so far has been the all-white Garmousha Pure Falcon, which fetched a staggering $350,000 at the inaugural auction on August 16, solidifying falconry’s growing economic and cultural relevance. “Falconry is not just a sport it is a way of life,” said Saad Al Hassani, Director of ADIHEX, emphasizing its role in teaching values like patience, responsibility, and cultural pride.
In a bid to nurture the next generation, ADIHEX 2025 places strong emphasis on youth engagement and cultural education. The popular ‘Little Falconer Village’ returns with expanded programming, school tours, and interactive workshops focusing on majlis etiquette, Arabic coffee traditions, and heritage crafts. “Heritage is at the heart of ADIHEX,” said Humaid Al Dhaheri, Managing Director of ADNEC Group, who emphasized the event’s mission to instill values of hospitality and environmental respect in young visitors.
This year also sees a major leap in technology and innovation. A newly launched mobile app will help visitors navigate the exhibition with interactive maps and real-time updates. Meanwhile, exhibitors will showcase cutting-edge tech such as drones for wildlife monitoring, AI-powered conservation tools, smart hunting gear, and advanced veterinary solutions. The Knowledge Centre will host expert forums discussing topics ranging from genetic studies of falcons to the use of satellite tracking for migratory birds.
Beyond the bustling commercial activity, ADIHEX reinforces its status as a platform for cultural preservation and sustainable practices. From breeding endangered species like the houbara bustard and Arabian oryx to promoting regulated hunting and water conservation, the event embodies the UAE’s commitment to responsible heritage protection. “This exhibition reflects the UAE’s dedication to sustainable hunting and wildlife conservation,” said Majed Al Mansouri, Secretary General of the Emirates Falconers Club.
Adding a deeper cultural layer, this year’s exhibition features a traditional souk that showcases hand-made knives, artisan crafts, and local goods, allowing visitors to connect with the region’s rich past while appreciating modern-day sustainability practices.
Building on its growing influence, organizers confirmed that ADIHEX will also travel to Al Ain in November, extending its regional reach. Since its inception in 2003, ADIHEX has grown into one of the world’s largest gatherings dedicated to hunting, equestrian sports, and heritage conservation.
The 2025 edition will run daily from 11am to 10pm, offering a diverse and immersive experience that celebrates the UAE’s past, present, and future.
