UAE Weather Alert: Fog Hits Abu Dhabi Roads, Rain Expected in Northern Emirates
Drivers in Abu Dhabi are being urged to exercise extreme caution as dense fog reduces visibility across key areas early Tuesday morning, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). Fog has been reported in regions including Al Hamra, Madinat Zayed, Al Jazeera, and Mkyariz (Al Dhafrah).
The NCM issued yellow and orange alerts for low visibility, warning motorists that horizontal visibility may decline further until 10 am on January 6, 2026.
Rain and Wind Forecast-
Beyond fog, parts of the UAE are expected to see partly cloudy weather, with light to moderate rain possible in Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah during the afternoon.
Light to moderate winds at 10–20 km/h, occasionally reaching 35 km/h, may cause blowing dust and sand, which could affect residents with allergies.
