When South Indian cinema takes the global stage, it doesn’t just entertain  it electrifies. And in 2025, it’s doing it all over again. The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) returns for its 13th grand edition, promising two unforgettable nights celebrating cinematic excellence, glamour, and the ever-expanding global impact of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam films.

This year, SIIMA 2025 is set to light up Dubai on the 5th and 6th of September, hosted at the iconic Dubai Exhibition Centre, EXPO City. With its growing reputation as the Oscars of the South, SIIMA has become a beacon of cross-border celebration bringing together stars, fans, and filmmakers from across continents.

From red carpet glamour to powerful tributes and show-stopping performances, the event is poised to be one of the biggest entertainment nights of the year. Tickets are already live on Platinumlist.net, and Dubai’s own Truckers is serving as the official local partner.

Who’s Expected to Attend?

While the official guest list remains under wraps, all signs point toward a star-studded celebration. If the 2024 edition is any indicator, audiences can expect appearances by icons like Allu Arjun, Prabhas, Rashmika Mandanna, Nani, Shruti Haasan, Vikram, Rana Daggubati, Mrunal Thakur, Sreeleela, Shriya Saran, and more.

Last year, global superstar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turned heads with a rare appearance alongside her daughter Aaradhya, while the likes of Rakshit Shetty and Adah Sharma brought fan-favorite energy. From seasoned veterans to Gen Z breakout stars, SIIMA continues to be the gathering point for South cinema’s most celebrated names.

The top contenders in the nominations list include power-packed films across South Indian languages. Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun, leads the Telugu category with 11 nods; Kalki 2898 AD (with Prabhas) and HanuMan are close behind. In Tamil, Amaran heads the race with 13 nominations, followed by Lubber Pandhu and Valai; while in Kannada, Bheema and Krishna Pranaya Sakhi dominate; and in Malayalam, Aadu Jeevitham (starring Prithviraj Sukumaran) leads the pack.
