Saudi Fund for Development explores cooperation with Uzbekistan

Sultan Al-Marshad, Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), recently met with Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Khodjayev Jamshid Abdukhakimovich in Tashkent.

According to a statement shared on the fund’s official X account, the meeting focused on enhancing development cooperation across multiple sectors in Uzbekistan. Discussions explored opportunities to support sustainable growth initiatives, infrastructure development, and broader economic collaboration, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to international development partnerships.

The Saudi Fund for Development has been an active contributor to financing projects across Asia, Africa, and beyond, supporting long-term economic and social progress in partner countries.

Diplomatic engagement with Portugal in Riyadh

In a separate diplomatic engagement, Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Alkhereiji received Nuno Mathias, Ambassador of Portugal to the Kingdom, in Riyadh.

The meeting marked a farewell visit as Ambassador Mathias’s tenure in Saudi Arabia comes to an end. The discussion highlighted bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Portugal, with both sides acknowledging the importance of continued cooperation and diplomatic dialogue.
