HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Inaugurates Rashid bin Khalifa Art Collection Exhibition

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today inaugurated the Rashid bin Khalifa Art Collection exhibition, which showcases a distinguished selection of Arabic and Islamic art.

His Royal Highness affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s achievements, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, continue to inspire creative artists and enrich the Kingdom’s artistic and cultural landscape. HRH highlighted that these accomplishments provide a strong foundation for artistic innovation and cultural development.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister outlined the Kingdom’s commitment to fostering an environment that encourages creativity, while reinforcing national identity and embracing cultural openness. His Royal Highness noted that Bahrain’s continued progress across various sectors, particularly in culture and the arts, reflects the positive advancement of the Bahraini creative sector.

His Royal Highness emphasised that the artworks on display embody national identity, Bahrain’s rich history, and its future aspirations, adding that art serves as an important tool for raising societal awareness and promoting cultural diversity.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister further stated that Bahraini artists, as members of Team Bahrain, carry the values of tolerance, coexistence, and pride in national identity through their creative works. His Royal Highness underscored that the contributions of Bahraini artists help present a progressive image of the Kingdom both regionally and internationally.

During a tour of the exhibition, His Royal Highness viewed a wide range of artworks reflecting the diversity of creative experiences within the Bahraini art scene. HRH commended the distinguished artistic contributions of His Excellency Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa throughout his creative career, noting their role in enriching Bahrain’s artistic and cultural landscape and strengthening the visual arts sector.

His Royal Highness added that the artworks showcased demonstrate a profound artistic vision that blends authenticity with modernity, highlighting the artists’ creativity and their ability to express human values through refined artistic styles. HRH also noted that HE Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa’s artistic journey serves as an inspiration for young Bahraini artists.

For his part, His Excellency Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa expressed his sincere gratitude to His Royal Highness for inaugurating the exhibition and for his continued support of the Kingdom’s art movement, reflecting the importance of the arts in strengthening national identity and enriching the cultural scene.

Several senior officials were also in attendance at the inauguration.
