First Look at Millie Bobby Brown in Enola Holmes 3 as Netflix Unveils 2026 Film Slate
Netflix has revealed a first look at Millie Bobby Brown returning as the sharp-witted sleuth Enola Holmes in the third instalment of the hit film franchise, set to arrive on the streaming platform this summer as part of its 2026 film lineup.
Enola Holmes 3 will see the young detective, played by Brown, travel to Malta to unravel a brand-new mystery. The film continues the popular series inspired by The Enola Holmes Mysteries novels by Nancy Springer, which reimagine the world of Sherlock Holmes through the eyes of his rebellious younger sister.
The announcement comes shortly after Brown, 21, bid an emotional farewell to her breakout role as Eleven in Netflix’s sci-fi phenomenon Stranger Things, which concluded earlier this month after a decade-long run.
Returning cast members include Louis Partridge as Tewkesbury, Henry Cavill as the iconic Sherlock Holmes, and Bafta-winning actress Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes, Enola’s unconventional mother. Himesh Patel will appear as Dr John Watson, while Sharon Duncan-Brewster reprises her role as criminal mastermind Professor Moriarty.
Adding a personal touch behind the scenes, Brown’s husband Jake Bongiovi son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi has been named an executive producer on the project. The couple married in May 2024 and announced the adoption of their baby daughter in August 2025.
The Enola Holmes sequel forms part of Netflix’s wider 2026 film slate, which also includes Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, marking the big-screen return of the beloved Birmingham crime saga. Cillian Murphy reprises his role as Tommy Shelby in the film, which is set during the turmoil of the Second World War and follows on from the show’s sixth and final season.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man will premiere in select cinemas on March 6 before landing on Netflix on March 20. Returning cast members include Sophie Rundle, Stephen Graham and Packy Lee, with new additions such as Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Roth.
Also heading to Netflix is Heartstopper Forever, the feature-length finale to the hit LGBT+ coming-of-age series based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novels. The film will explore Charlie and Nick’s relationship as they face the challenges of long-distance love when Nick prepares to leave for university. Production details and a release date are yet to be confirmed.
With star-driven franchises, beloved series finales and high-profile film debuts, Netflix’s 2026 slate signals a major year ahead led by Millie Bobby Brown’s return as one of its most popular modern heroines.
