Falcons Sold for SR428,000 at Saudi Falcons Exhibition

Riyadh — A total of three falcons, including two from Mongolia and one local breed, were sold for a combined SR428,000 (BD42,800) at the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2025, drawing intense bidding and enthusiastic engagement from attendees. The sales underscore the growing cultural and economic significance of falconry in the Kingdom.
This year’s exhibition, held in Riyadh, features a dedicated pavilion for Mongolian falcons for the first time in the event’s history. Known for their superior genetics, strength, and hunting prowess, Mongolian falcons are highly prized by falconers across Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf region.
The record sales highlight the Kingdom’s continued efforts to preserve and promote the heritage of falconry, while also positioning the annual exhibition as a premier platform for international falcon trading, breeding, and cultural exchange. The exhibition also features workshops, live shows, and educational displays that attract falconers, breeders, and enthusiasts from across the world.
Organized by the Saudi Falcons Club, the event is a key part of Saudi Arabia’s broader vision to support traditional sports, enhance wildlife conservation, and foster international collaboration in falconry.
