Dubai’s Aviation Duo Soar: Flydubai Expands Global Reach with 7 New Deals, Emirates Boosts London Flights

Dubai’s aviation sector continues to gain altitude as flydubai and Emirates unveil major strategic expansions aimed at reinforcing the emirate’s global connectivity. Flydubai has signed seven new interline agreements, extending its list of global airline partners to over 40 and significantly enhancing passenger access to international markets. Simultaneously, Emirates has announced six additional weekly flights to London Heathrow starting 26 October 2025, anticipating high winter travel demand.

The interline agreements signed by flydubai broaden its reach across Europe and Asia, offering passengers seamless access to more than 300 destinations worldwide when combined with its current 135-destination network. Through its new partnerships with Aegean Airlines and ITA Airways, passengers now gain access to over 30 European cities. In Asia, flydubai customers can connect to over 90 destinations via Myanmar Airways International, Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, and Sichuan Airlines.

These agreements support unified ticketing and through-checked baggage, enabling a smoother and more convenient travel experience. The move aligns with flydubai’s long-standing commitment to strengthening Dubai’s role as a global aviation hub and promoting trade, tourism, and cross-border connectivity. “These agreements will provide our passengers even more flexibility and choice when planning their travel,” said Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai. “At the same time, more passengers will be able to access Dubai as a leading destination for tourism and business.”

Meanwhile, Emirates, flydubai’s codeshare partner, is ramping up operations to London Heathrow, responding to strong passenger demand during the year-end travel season. The airline will add six weekly flights to its current six-daily schedule, bringing the total to 48 flights per week to Heathrow. These new services will be operated using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, complementing Emirates’ existing A380 services, and offering over 350 seats per flight across First, Business, and Economy classes.

The added frequencies are set to operate every day except Friday and are timed to ensure smooth connections from Dubai to key destinations such as Phuket, Durban, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, and Beijing, as well as return flows into London from major cities across South Asia and the Middle East. Emirates emphasized that these additional services will support both inbound tourism and outbound connectivity for business and leisure travelers alike.

Together, these twin developments signal Dubai’s strategic intent to remain at the forefront of global aviation. As the city continues to strengthen its airline partnerships and increase service capacity, both flydubai and Emirates are well-positioned to capture the rebound in global travel demand and reinforce the emirate’s reputation as a world-class transit and tourism hub.
