His Royal Highness Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has directed that salaries for all government employees and pensioners in Bahrain be disbursed earlier than scheduled for the month of March.
According to the directive, payments will be made on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, ahead of the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holiday, ensuring that beneficiaries have timely access to funds during the festive period.
Authorities have also been instructed to ensure that April salaries are paid on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, maintaining consistency in disbursement schedules.
The move is part of efforts to support citizens and residents financially during key periods, particularly around major holidays when household spending typically increases.
Early salary disbursements ahead of Eid are a common practice across several Gulf countries, aimed at easing financial planning and enabling families to prepare for celebrations.
Officials reaffirmed that all relevant entities have been directed to implement the decision smoothly and ensure that payments are processed without delay.
