His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace, where several key national initiatives and royal directives were reviewed and commended.

During the meeting, the Cabinet praised His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Royal Order designating 2026 as the Kingdom of Bahrain’s “Year of Isa Al Kabeer.” The designation honors His Highness Isa Al Kabeer, the Ruler of Bahrain and its Dependencies, and recognizes his role as the founder of the modern Bahraini state and the architect of its institutional and legal foundations.

The Cabinet directed all government entities to take the necessary steps to commemorate the legacy of Isa Al Kabeer, highlighting his contributions to ensuring stability and establishing Bahrain’s civil, legal, and administrative institutions. These measures will be implemented in line with the Royal Order, with a focus on preserving national heritage and reinforcing historical awareness across the Kingdom.

In addition, the Cabinet commended the approval by HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), of the Fund’s 2026–2030 strategy. The strategy aims to strengthen workforce competitiveness, enhance private sector growth, and support sustainable economic development.

The Cabinet also praised Tamkeen’s achievements in 2025, noting its support for more than 52,700 Bahrainis and enterprises through initiatives focused on labor market integration, career advancement, business development, and digital transformation.

Officials emphasized that these efforts align with Bahrain’s broader development priorities and its commitment to empowering citizens, strengthening institutions, and fostering long-term economic resilience.
