Gulf Cooperation Council Condemns Iranian Attack as Violation of Qatar's Sovereignty

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has issued a strong condemnation of the recent Iranian missile strike on Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base, calling it a “blatant violation” of Qatar’s sovereignty and regional stability.
In an official statement released by the Secretariat General, the GCC denounced the act as aggressive and unjustified, warning that it sets a dangerous precedent for regional relations and undermines international norms.The Al Udeid Air Base, which hosts U.S. and allied forces, was targeted by Iran in a move that has escalated tensions across the Gulf. The attack has drawn widespread criticism and concern from both regional powers and global allies.
The GCC emphasized the importance of respecting the sovereignty of member states and called for collective security measures to deter further violations. The council urged the international community to take firm action against any threats that disrupt peace and security in the Gulf region.
The statement also highlighted the need for unity among GCC nations in confronting shared security challenges and reaffirmed its unwavering support for Qatar in defending its territorial integrity.
