Centre for Creativity: Bahrain Launches International Creative Orange Economy Hub
The United Nations Industrial Development Organization Investment and Technology Promotion Office in Bahrain (Unido-ITPO Bahrain), in partnership with the RAK Art Foundation and the International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ICEI), has announced the launch of the International Centre for the Creative Orange Economy.
The new centre is a strategic initiative aimed at positioning Bahrain as a regional and global hub for cultural innovation, creative entrepreneurship and knowledge exchange. It seeks to support the growth of creative industries by fostering collaboration between artists, entrepreneurs, innovators and policymakers across diverse cultural and economic sectors.
Through research, capacity building and international partnerships, the centre will promote sustainable development within the creative economy, also known as the “orange economy,” which encompasses sectors such as art, design, media, fashion, heritage and digital creativity. The initiative is expected to create new opportunities for talent development, investment and cross-border collaboration.
The launch reflects Bahrain’s commitment to diversifying its economy and strengthening its role in the global creative landscape. By providing a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship, the International Centre for the Creative Orange Economy aims to contribute to economic growth while celebrating cultural expression and creativity at both regional and international levels.
