Roadmap for Arab Future in Focus at Major Derasat Forum

The seventh annual forum of the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) began yesterday, placing a spotlight on shaping a roadmap for the Arab future through research-driven collaboration. The forum is being held under the theme “The Arab Research Centres Consortium for Sustainability and Development.”

The event is organised in partnership with the General Secretariat of the Arab League, underscoring the importance of coordinated regional efforts in addressing shared economic, social, and environmental challenges. It brings together policymakers, researchers, and experts from across the Arab world to exchange perspectives and develop practical frameworks for sustainable development.

Discussions at the forum focus on strengthening cooperation among Arab research centres and enhancing their role in supporting evidence-based policymaking. Participants are exploring ways to align research outputs with regional development priorities, while fostering innovation and long-term resilience.

By convening leading institutions and experts, the Derasat forum aims to contribute to a unified Arab vision for sustainability and development, reinforcing the role of strategic research in guiding future policies and promoting inclusive growth across the region.
